The Season is Changing

This is going to be short, but let’s go!

It is almost time for the end of the year. It’s September, and the countdown has begun. It’s time for the holidays to come, for the weather to go up and down like a roller coaster, and (crossing fingers) stop telling you that the books are coming and put them out.

I have found an editor I love, and she is a dream to work with! If I did not already get a taste of the process through my writing classes, I would have been more nervous, but no, nothing like that. I have finished books I hadn’t planned on and put them to the side for later edits. I’m still looking for an illustrator. Crossroads ended up being a very big book for me in terms of editing and the changes and detail that I want others to see this world I created. It’s nowhere as big as Hogwarts or any other magical school, but I like to think I made something just as fun. Who knows for sure? However, with this idea, I will need help. I do practice drawing, but, the process is slow. Who knows when I will get to where I want to be? So, I’m on the hunt and if anyone knows someone, let me know so I can check them out.

New ideas are coming in (save me), which makes it hard to stay on track with what projects I am supposed to be working on after a little rest. I rather thought starting a new job would slow that down, but clearly not. I’ll talk more about that a little later. In the meantime, welcome to September, everyone!
